Administration
Bethel College of Education, Ijare, Ondo State, is a private College of Education. The management structure is well developed to ensure quality service delivery to both students and the general public. The following are the major components of the management team:

a. The Visitor (Proprietor), Major General JA Omosebi (rtd.) is a Fellow if the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, and belongs to several other dignified professional Accountancy and Management Institutions including the membership of the prestigious Nigeria Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos, Nigeria. He has a passion for education and believes that one of the best ways to tackle Nigeria’s educational problems is to begin with the teachers at both the primary and junior secondary levels.

b. The Governing Council is made up of people of high integrity who have distinguished themselves in their various disciplines. They are:

THE PROPRIETOR
Major General Joshua Omosebi (RTD)
General Omosebi was born on September 22, 1944, into the family of Chief and Mrs Samuel Omosebi of Aiyetoro Street, Ijare, in Ifedore Local Government area of Ondo State. He had his primary education in St Peter’s Primary School, Ijare, between 1950 and 1957. He attended Iju-Itaogbolu Anglican Grammar School, Iju, between 1958 and 1961. He left Secondary School due to lack of funds. He then proceeded to self-study and passed the then Corporation of Secretaries Examinations (which later merged with the Chartered Institute of Secretaries) and through sponsorship by the Nigerian Army, passed the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants examinations in 1979.

He attended many courses, seminars and workshops while in the Nigerian Army including the prestigious Institute
of Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos, in 1995. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Secretaries, Member Institute of Directors and Nigerian Institute of Management, amongst others. General Omosebi started his working career in Iju-Itaogbolu Anglican Grammar School, Iju, in 1962 as an Accounts Clerk and left in 1965.
Hence he journeyed to the Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research, University of Ibadan, as a clerical officer from 1965 to 1966. Thereafter he joined the West African Examinations Council, Yaba, as an accounts clerk from 1966 to 1970, when he left as an Assistant Executive Officer (Accounts). He had a short spell in the Federal Ministry of Works and Transport, Internal Audit Department, as an Executive Officer Accounts, before joining the Nigerian Army as a Lieutenant in August 1970. He retired as a Major General in June 2000.

All along he displayed a strong passion for learning and education hence the need to contribute to the development and enhancement of teacher education in Nigeria which has culminated in the establishment of the Bethel College of Education, Ijare, Ondo State. The College will be managed by experienced educationists to properly inculcate the spirit of learning and entrepreneurship in all its graduates and prepare them to meet future challenges appropriately and profitably.

THE PROPRIETORESS
Chief (Mrs) Olubukunola Omosebi
​Mrs Olubukunola Omosebi was born on 13 September, 1947 at Ijebu Ode to the family of Chief B.O. Iwajomo of blessed memory and Mrs Felicia Iwajomo. She started her primary education in 1953 at Abigi in Ijebu waterside in the old Western Region and in 1957 when the family moved to Ilushin, also in Ijebu Waterside where she continued with her primary education.

Her father, having thought that her daughter needed a sound educational background sent her to Lagos where she began in Standard Five in 1960. In 1961, she proceeded to Abeokuta Girls Grammar School and passed out in 1966.
She started her working career at the former Posts and Telecommunications in the Ministry of Communications in Lagos in 1968 as a clerk and in 1971.
 She went for short courses while serving in the posts and Telecommunication until she took a short leave of absence in 1978 to travel to the United Kingdom. Whilst in the United Kingdom, she attended Waltham Forest College, where she did a certificate course in Housekeeping and Catering for one academic year. She returned to the Posts and Telecommunications Department in December 1979 and was subsequently promoted through the ranks to the position of Acting Chief Clerk until 1997 when she voluntarily resigned to take up the appointment Managing Director of Little by Little Farms Nig. Ltd. now Bethel Agro Services Ltd. and Value Tech Supplies and Merchants Ltd., Ijare. Chief (Mrs) Omosebi participated in the holy pilgrimage to Jerusalem in 1997.

She was a member of the Nigerian/Asian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and joined the team that travelled to some Asian countries in 1998. She had attended several workshops and seminars organized by corporate bodies for the improvement of farmers in the rural set up. Chief (Mrs) Omosebi has a passion for educational development of young people, having, with her husband, given bursaries and educational support to several people. She was the primary mover for the establishment of the Bethel College of Education. She is happily married with children.

CHAIRMAN OF COUNCIL
Professor Williams Olusola Ibukun
Professor Williams Olusola Ibukun was born 31st August, 1949 in Ijare, Ifedore Local Government of Ondo State.

After primary education in Ijare, he attended several institutions and obtained the following certificates:

a. Grade II Teacher’s Certificate in January 1972 from African Church Teacher Training College, Epinmi-Akoko, Ondo State (1969 – 1971.)
b. General Certificate of Education, Ordinary Level Certificate by private tuition and self-study in 1972.
c. Bachelor of Education, 2nd Class Hons Upper in June 1977, from the University of Ibadan (1973 – 1977).
d. Master in Education (Planning) in Sept. 1979 from the University of Ibadan (1978/1979).
e. Doctor of Philosophy (Educational Management) in 1993 from the University of Ibadan (1981/1983).
f. Certificate in Educational Statistics in 1979; University of Ibadan/UNESCO Workshop, University of Ibadan 6th – 17th August, 1979).

PROFESSOR FRANCIS OLUWOLE
Professor Francis Oluwole was born into the highly esteemed honourable Oluwole family about 73 years ago. He received his early education at the Acquinas College, Akure, from 1952 to 1957. He then proceeded to the Nigerian College of Arts, Science & Technology, Ibadan, from 1958 to 1960. He was at the University of California between 1961 and 1968. Throughout his educational career, he was so brilliant that he won scholarships and awards all the way from Secondary to University and for post graduate studies.

He belongs to many prestigious academic organisations and associations. Prof Francis Oluwole is presently the managing director of SEEMS (Nig.) Ltd., an energy and environmental consulting firm. He has been director of the firm since its inception in 1988. Prior to this date, he was a Professor of Physics at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, 1969 – 1999. While there he served as Head of Department of Physics (1975 – 1976), director, Centre for Energy Research and Development (1976 – 1983). Co-ordinator of the Energy and Environment Sector of the University. 
Consulting Services (UNIFECS) and co-ordinator of the Environmental and Energy Research Group (1989 – 1996), a research project funded by the European Union and the Federal Government of Nigeria. During the past 30 years he has played prominent roles in the environmental and energy sectors in Nigeria, either as a researcher or as a consultant. He has published or co-edited 6 books and monographs and over 70 articles in reputable international journals such as the Physics Review, Science of Total Environment, Journal of Environmental Monitoring and Assessment and the Journals of Soils, Air and Water Pollution. He has served on several Boards both at Federal and State levels, some of which are: Chairman, Ondo State Education Review Committee (January 1984), Chairman, Ondo State Advisory Committee on Education (1984 – 1985), Member, Federal Environmental Protection Agency Board (1990), and member, Energy Commission of Nigeria (2001). Prof Oluwole is a recipient of the Nigerian National Order of Merit (NNOM) (2004). He has also been honoured with the degrees of D. Sc (honoris causa) by both the Federal University of Technology, Akure, and the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba -Akoko.

Dr. ENOCH AKINRINOLA FALODI
Dr Enoch Akinrinola Falodi was born on 30 January, 1946, in Ijare, Ifedore Local Government of Ondo State. He had his early education in St Peter’s Primary School, Ijare in 1952 – 1959. He attended Oyemekun Grammar School, Akure, in 1960 – 1964. He studied privately for the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level Examination between 1966 and 1968 when he passed the 3 relevant papers required for admission into Nigerian Universities in good grades. He attended the University of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University between 1968 and 1971 in Second Class Upper Division.

He thereafter did the Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science in the University of Lagos and the Ph.D in the New University of Ulster, Coleraine, Northern Ireland, and United Kingdom from 1973 – 1978. He started his working career as a graduate teacher in Methodist High School, Owo, in 1971. As a Graduate Assistant, he taught Mathematics in the prelim classes in the University, from 1971–1972. He taught in the Polytechnic, Ibadan, between
1974 –79 and also as a part time lecturer in Mathematics (Extra Mural Classes) in the University of Ibadan in 1982 – 1993. Other places were the University of Lagos, 1982 -93; The Federal University of Technology, Akure, 1984 – 99; Ondo State University, Ado Ekiti, 1987 – 1991; Ondo State Polytechnic, Owo, 1990 – 93; Ondo State College of Education, Ikere – Ekiti, 1992 – 1998; and lastly the FederaL Polytechnic, Ado – Ekiti, 1992 – 2009 where he rose to become a Chief Lecturer. He was one time the Deputy Editor of the Association of Mathematical Association of Nigeria (JOSMA), 1990-1993 and Journal Assessor to the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) Kaduna, (1995 – 99).

During his sojourn in the various institutions, Dr Falodi served in several committees, some of which he chaired. He is member of several professional organisations for example, the Mathematical Association of Nigeria, (1971 to date), the Statistical Association of Nigeria (1979 to date), the Computer Association of Nigeria (1995 to date) and was one time the Vice President of the Mathematical Association of Nigeria, Ondo State Branch, (1992 – 1996).
He has published several research publications, monographs and books, presented papers in several conferences and workshops both locally and overseas. In fact he has a passion for writing books. He equally participates in community development programmes in his area. He is married with children.

Dr. MOJISOLA OLUGBODE
Dr Mojisola OlugboDr Mojisola Olugbode was born on 27th May, 1972, to the family of Maj Gen and Chief (Mrs) Omosebi in Lagos. She attended the following schools/institutions:

a) Command Children School, Mokola, Ibadan from 1979 - 1983 ; b) Command Secondary School, Bode Igbo, Ibadan from 1983 – 1988;
c) Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos, from 1989 to 1991 for the OND Accounts course;
d) Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile – Ife, from 1992- 1995 for B.Sc. Accounting;
e) University of Lagos, Lagos, from 1998 – 2000 for Master of Business Administration course;
f) University of Plymouth, Plymouth, United Kingdom, from 2003 – 2004 for the M.Sc course in Business Management;
g) University of Plymouth, Plymouth, United Kingdom, from 2006 – 2010 for the PhD course in Business with
 Management:  Management: Exchange Rate and interest rate exposure of UK Non-Financial firms and Industries. She started her working career with Zenith International Bank plc from January 1998 – November 2000 when she resigned as a relationship Officer. Thereafter she joined the Newline Tech. Nig Ltd.,  Ikeja, as General Manager, Finance, from May 2001 to November, 2002 when she also resigned to travel to the United Kingdom for further studies.

In the University of Plymouth, she served as a Reviewer with the Academy of International Business (AIB) whereby she reviewed and determined for suitability of manuscripts submitted for the Beijing AIB Con ference on “Context of Global Business” (23rd to 26th June, 2006); Research Assistant (Information Systems) from October 2005 – January 2006; Associate Lecturer and Demonstrator from November 2005 – August 2010; and as Lecturer in Finance from September 2010 to date. She is a member of Academy of International Business (AIB). She has a lot of passion for education and the development and enhancement of the quality of teacher education as a means of improving the standard of education in Nigeria. She is happily married with children.

The Provost
Dr. Joseph Olu Adamolekun.
​The Provost, who is the Chief Executive Officer of the College and Chairman of the College Academic Board, is Dr. Joseph Olu Adamolekun. Dr Adamolekun was born on 14 August, 1939, in Iju – Akure. After early education, he attended Paddington Technical College, London between 1963 – 1966, London University between 1966 – 1969, University of Ibadan between 1975 and 1976, University of Ibadan between 1982 and 1984, and Ondo State University, Ado Ekiti in 1995, amongst others.

He has had systematic experience in research and teaching in tertiary Institutions. He retired as Chief Lecturer from the College of Education, Ikere Ekiti. After that he nurtured the Ero College of Education to maturity from where he left to join the Bethel College of Education in June, 2012.

The Registrar
Mr Francis Akinmolasere Akinbisoye
Francis Akinmolasere Akinbisoye hails from Ile - Oluji, Ondo State. He attended Saints George’s and Mathias Catholic Schools in Ile- Oluji (1949 – 1955), Local Authority Secondary Modern School, Ondo, (1956 – 1959), St Peter’s Teachers’ College, Akure, ( 1962 – 1964) , Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, ( 1967 – 1969) and the University of Ibadan ( 1970 – 1974) where he obtained the Bachelor of Arts degree in French.

He began his working career as a qualified teacher in De La Salle Secondary Modern School, Akure, in 1965 - 1966, worked as a non-graduate teacher in Ansar-Ud-Deen Grammar School, Ikare, in 1970 and after graduation from the University of Ibadan, he was engaged as an Education Officer under the Federal Government UPE Programme and then taught in Eyinni High School, Ibadan, ( Sept. 1975 – March 1980).
Thereafter he joined the administration of the then Ondo State College of Education (now College of Education) Ikere-Ekiti in April 1980 as an Administrative Officer 1. He rose through the ranks until he became a Deputy Registrar in February, 1991. Before retiring in December 2005, he acted as the Registrar of the College (2003 – 2005). He is happily married with children.

Bursar
Mr Adesanoye Ojo Fashakin

Mr Adesanoye Ojo Fashakin was born on 06 October, 1952, at Ibule-soro, in Ifedore Local Government of Ondo State. After his primary education, he attended Anglican Grammar School, Iju – Itaogbolu  (1965 – 1967);  Benevolent High School, Lagos (Evening Session) for the General Certificate of Education, Ordinary Level,  (1973 – 1975); The federal Polytechnic, Ado – Ekiti  (1979 – 1983), where he obtained the Higher National Diploma in Accountancy with Upper Credit; Ondo State University, Ado – Ekiti (1994 – 1995)  for the Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science; and the Ondo State University, Ado Ekiti,  (1997 – 1999), for the Masters programme in Business Administration. In 1993, he qualified as an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

He started his working career as a clerk/typist in Lagos City Council (1972 - 76), and thence worked as a Confidential Secretary at SATO Engineering Associates, Lagos, (1977 – 1980). He joined the Ondo State Teaching.

 Service Commission as a classroom teacher in Jooro High School, Ibule –soro (1984 and 1985). He joined the Ondo State University, Ado – Ekiti as an Accountant Grade II (April 1985 – December 1985).

He then rose through the ranks as Accountant Grade I (January 1986 – December 1990), Senior Accountant – Head of Ledger Unit – (June 1990 – June 1992), Senior Accountant – Head of Ledger Unit and Accounting Service Division in the Bursary Department – (July 1992 – November 1993), Principal Accountant (November 1993 – December 1994), Assistant Chief Accountant (January 1995 – September 1995), Chief Accountant (September 1995 – August 1997), Deputy Bursar and Acting Bursar between August 1997 – November 2001) and finally became University Bursar (December 2001 to 2009).

During his tenure in the various institutions, he served in several Committees, attended several training programmes and conferences both local and overseas, during which he received several awards. He is presently a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He retired as bursar from the Adekunle Ajasin University in year 2009. He is married with children.
